Melbourne (Australia) – After the incidents of attacks on 3 Hindu temples in Australia came to light in the last few weeks, now the information has come to light that the female priest of the Kali Mata temple in Melbourne has been threatened. On 24th January, a woman priest named Bhavna received a threatening phone call from a Khalistani. The concerned Khalistani said that you will have to face serious consequences for inviting singer Kanhaiya Mittal to the Bhajan programme to be held on 4th March. The Khalistani also threatened Bhavna that he would attack the temple if Mittal, a staunch Hindu, arrives at the programme.

1. Bhavna told the magazine ‘Australia Today’ that she was shocked by the incident and said that she tried to pacify the person concerned. Bhavna said that the Khalistani did not listen to her despite she telling him that ‘Guru Maharaj (Guru Gobind Singh) himself too worshipped Kali Mata’.
2. Bhavna has lodged a complaint with the Craigburn Police in this matter and has requested to provide protection to the temple on the day of the Bhajan programme.
