Tsunami alert in Japan after strong earthquake of 6.4 magnitude strikes Taiwan; 100 tremors in 24 hours !

Taipei City (Taiwan) – On 17th and 18th September, major earthquakes struck Taiwan in southeast Asia. On Sunday, an earthquake of a magnitude of 7.2 and on Saturday of 6.4 struck Taiwan. It was followed by many aftershocks. These quakes were felt in Yujin in east Taiwan. A lot of houses are destroyed due to the earthquakes in the Hualien area but there were no casualties. A Tsunami alert was issued in Japan and later canceled. The Taitung area was the epicenter of this earthquake. More than 100 tremors were registered in 24 hours.

1. According to the information obtained from the local media, the earthquakes were so strong that many buildings collapsed, there were big cracks on the roads and a train derailed.

2. People are still scared due to the fear of earthquakes and are staying out of the house because of the fear of the earthquake.

3. Previously, in the earthquake in 2016, 100 people died and in 1999, in an earthquake of 7.3 magnitudes, about 2,000 people died.
