Villagers protest against Christian missionaries in Chhattisgarh !

Gariaband (Chhattisgarh) – Hundreds of villagers in the Kaundkera village of the Rajim area in the Gariaband District protested against the conversion of Hindus by Christian missionaries. They have warned that if conversions are not stopped, a big agitation will be staged. Along with this, they also announced that ‘Coconuts will be offered to those who have converted, and they will be brought back in Hinduism’. After a protest by the villagers, the Deputy Collector and the Police reached the spot and pacified the villagers.

Every Sunday a prayer meeting is organised by the Christians in the house of a villager. Villagers went there and started protesting. They alleged that some people come from outside the village for prayers and lure us to become Christians. As a result, children from the same family have been divided as Hindus and Christians. Not only this, but conversion is taking place in other villages too.

Since there is no anti-conversion law in the country, Christian missionaries are off the leash. Owing to this, strict action must be taken against the concerned by enacting this law as soon as possible !

Attempts of conversion in Jashpur too; Police arrest the activists of the Hindu organisation instead

An incident of conversion is also said to have taken place in Sajbahar village in Jashpur. A meet was also organised at the house of Sarpanch Sonam Lakda. Hindus were to be converted under the pretence of this meet. On getting the information about this meeting, Hindu leader Vijay Singh Judev went to Sarpanch Sonam Lakda’s house and opposed the meeting. 4 Hindus were present for the meeting. The Hindu organisation has demanded the removal of Sarpanch Sonam Lakda from the post. After this incident, the Police arrested the volunteers of the Hindu organisation for opposing the prayer meet and said that there was no conversion attempt here.
