Benefits of Chanting
What I did not possess, I got. What I got, I experienced and what will go with me when I leave, is the ‘Name’ !
Implied meaning : ‘What I did not possess, I got’ refers to God’s ‘Name’ I did not have before, but which I later received from the Guru. ‘What I got, I experienced’ refers to the spiritual experiences obtained by chanting. ‘What will go with me’ implies that one has to leave everything behind at the time of death; only the ‘Name’ goes along with the self.
