7 arrested !

Belthangady (Karnataka) – The police have exposed the printing of counterfeit Indian currency notes using electronic equipment by a gang in a deserted building at Adenja in Kaniyur village here. A team led by Police Sub-Inspector Sutesh K P raided the building on 16 July. Seven accused have been arrested in the operation. They include Ibrahim, Sharif, Sandeep Sholambi, Mohammad Nabas, Salman Faris, Sirajuddin and Irshad. Equipment used for printing counterfeit notes was also seized during the operation.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Kodagu District Superintendent of Police Bindu Mani R N (IPS). A case has been registered at Uppinangady Police Station, and the police are conducting further investigation.
