Planned protest against a non-existent India–US agreement !

New Delhi – Punjab farmers have postponed their march to Delhi. Farmers who had arrived at the Shambhu border on 21st July to participate in the march have started returning. The march had been organised to protest against the India–US trade agreement. However, no such agreement has been concluded. Farmer leader Dilbag Singh Dirajke said that a consensus had been reached on the demands at a meeting with Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana. Therefore, the agitation has been postponed.
No agreement has been concluded; then what is this agitation for ? – BJP
Punjab BJP spokesperson Anil Sarin said, ‘No agreement has been concluded so far. No details have been announced; then what is this agitation for ? They are agitating against something that the Government has not even done. It is possible that these leaders have acquaintances abroad; that is why they know everything. Some people always want to spoil the atmosphere in Punjab.’
