Kolkata – Violence erupted in the fourth phase of Assembly elections in Bengal on 10th April. A clash broke out between the BJP and TMC supporters in the Sitalkuchi constituency of Cooch Behar. Following which, many were injured, and the Police began lathi-charge to bring the situation under control. At that time, some unknown miscreants opened fire outside booth no. 285 in which an 18-year-old voter was killed. Four persons were killed in the retaliatory firing by the security forces, while 4 others were injured. Some miscreants also hurled country-made bombs in which many were injured.
