New Delhi: On the night of February 10th, a mob of 30 to 40 religious fundamentalists broke into the house of Rinku Sharma, a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist in Mangolpuri area of Delhi, and stabbed him to death. According to Rinku Sharma’s family members, he had an argument with the fundamentalists on August 5 during a rally to collect donations for the Ayodhya Shri Ram Mandir, which led to his murder. The police have arrested Mehtab, Danish, Zahid, Nasruddin and Islam, while the other accused are absconding. Rinku Sharma’s family has demanded police protection after this murder. Rinku Sharma was an active member of the Bajrang Dal and used to organise the chanting of Hanuman Chalisa. He was working as a lab technician in a hospital. The area where Rinku Sharma lives has a substantial Muslim population. (Whereever the minorities are majority, they have tried to wipe out Hindus; this has been proved repeatedly – Editor, Sanatan Prabhat) A large number of people gathered outside the Mangolpuri police station as soon as the incident was reported.

Police claim the murder took place after a scuffle
The pacifist Delhi police controlled by the central government ! While the intent of the murder was anti-Hindu sentiments, the police as usual, are deliberately trying to obscure the truth.
The Police have not yet confirmed any religious motive behind the murder. According to the Police, Rinku Sharma had gone to a friend’s birthday party near his house. There he had a verbal spat with the accused on a minor issue. Rinku Sharma and the accused had jointly opened a restaurant in Rohini area and had incurred heavy financial loss in the business. This led to arguments between the two. The accused later went to Rinku Sharma’s house and killed him. However, Rinku Sharma’s brother Manu Sharma said that they do not own any restaurant nor do they have any food shops. On August 5, when Rinku Sharma had gone to raise donations for the Shri Ram temple, the religious fundamentalists had quarrelled with him.
Rinku’s mother lamented, “I couldn’t save Rinku.” The entire financial responsibility of the house was on his shoulders.
Family claims Rinku was murdered for chanting Jai Shri Ram
On August 5, when Rinku Sharma chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’, the controversy blew up and lead to the murder. “While he was being killed, he was still shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’,” his family said.

However tolerant and secularly a Hindu behaves, in the eyes of the fundamentalists he is still a ‘Kaffir’, and so his killing is justified. It will be an auspicious day when the Hindus realise this. The wife of the accused Islam was pregnant one and a half years back and her condition deteriorated during her delivery and she needed blood. Rinku Sharma had donated blood to save her. In addition, Rinku Sharma had helped Islam’s hospitalized brother when he tested positive for Covid-19. |
