Mumbai – The birth anniversary of Adi Shankaracharya who is a father of the rejuvenation of Hindu Dharma is on 28th April. On the night of 16th April, a violent mob brutally attacked two Hindu Saints Kalpavruksha Giriji Maharaj and Sushil Giriji Maharaj along with their driver and killed them. These Saints were a part of the Akhara tradition which was created by Adi Shankaracharya. ‘Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti’ will be the most appropriate day to bow unto feet of Saints. In this context, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has made a public appeal to all Hindus across the country to light ‘lamps’ in the evening of 28th April and bow down at the feet of Saints to participate in protesting against this cruel act., said Ramesh Shinde, Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
All Saints, devout Hindus and patriotic organisations across the country have also appealed to people to follow the above-mentioned act. Ramesh Shinde also appealed that all Hindus should actively participate in this initiative and thereby fulfil their duty unto Dharma. The social media should also display the unity of Hindus through the trend #HindusRiseAsOne”, further stated Shri. Shinde, said Shinde.
