Kanpur : Mother beaten to death by religious fanatics accused of attempting to rape daughter

Since the accused do not get prompt punishment from the courts, they continue to commit more sinister crimes.

In Uttar Pradesh, incidents of rapists who were released from jail murdering victims are common. It is shameful for the Government that it fails to stop such incidents and reflects on the bad law and order situation in UP.

Kanpur (UP) – A woman was beaten to death here by men accused of attempting to rape her daughter. The incident, which took place on 9^th January, came to light when a video of the brutal beating surfaced on the internet. In the video, five men can be seen beating up two women – mother and aunt of the victim. The women were allegedly beaten up for giving testimony in the case.

A group of five men accused of molesting a young girl, who are currently out on bail, attacked the victim’s mother after she refused to withdraw the case.
One of the women, the sexual harassment victim’s mother, succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

The Police acting on a tip-off laid a trap and conducted searches there. When the Police tried to stop two of the suspects, they tried to flee and started firing at the Police team. In the gun battle, the two suspects sustained bullet injuries on their legs. (The secularists will not comment on how the religious fanatics get hold of arms and dare to use them on the Police. – Editor)
