The ministry’s affidavit contends that the petition does not cite any urgent grounds for consideration. It further notes that the Union of India has not been made a party to the case. Additionally, the English version of the petition has not been accurately translated into Hindi, resulting in significant discrepancies between the original and the translation. The affidavit also highlights that during the hearing on 27thNovember, 2024, the opposing parties were not given an opportunity to present their arguments. Considering these issues, the ministry has requested that the petition be dismissed and returned. (The reasons cited by the ministry seem absurd. The core issue is whether the site is a temple or not, and the ministry has made no comment on that. This indicates either the officials involved are uneducated or they harbour anti-Hindu sentiments – Editor)

Muslim side expresses satisfaction
The Muslim side has expressed satisfaction with the Government’s decision. Advocate Ashish Kumar Singh representing the Khadim Association, said that the Muslim party had already questioned the admissibility of the case and had requested its dismissal. Following the Union Government’s recommendation, it is now clear that the case was filed merely to gain popularity, lacking any substantial basis. It was an attempt to disrupt communal harmony. The Muslim side welcomed the Government’s move and reiterated their demand to dismiss the case.
