According to Police sources, John Jebaraj committed sexual assault on two minor girls aged 14 and 17 at his residence in the GN Mills area. The 17-year-old girl is an orphan who had been adopted by Jebaraj’s in-laws, while the 14-year-old victim lives next door to him. Last year, a feast had been organised at Jebaraj’s house, which both victims had attended. It was during this time that the abuse occurred. Jebaraj had threatened the girls, saying, “If you tell anyone about what happened, I will kill you.” However, the 14-year-old girl later confided in her parents, who then filed a complaint with the Police.
Absconding pastor Jebaraj seen attending prayer meeting
Remarkably, although Jebaraj is considered absconding by the Police, he was seen attending a prayer meeting in Chennai on 31st March. He even shared a video of the event on Instagram. (This raises serious questions about whether the Police are shielding him. If so, strict action must also be taken against such Police officers – Editor)
Editorial PerspectiveThe image of church pastors as “civilized and cultured” that has been carefully cultivated in this country is being exposed as hollow by such incidents continuously emerging both in India and abroad. However, please note how the so-called secularists and progressives are never seen opening their mouths about them. |
