Mumbai – Remarks by US President Donald Trump referring to India as ‘hell’ have triggered widespread outrage. Iran responded by highlighting the rich culture and natural beauty of Maharashtra.

The Iranian Consulate General in Mumbai criticised Trump, stating that someone should organise a ‘cultural purification’ tour for him so that such baseless remarks would stop. The consulate also urged Trump to visit India and witness its greatness before making such statements.

Maybe someone should book a one-way cultural detox for Mr. #Trump, it might just reduce the random bakwaas 😏

Trump had described India and China as ‘hell-like’ in the context of a letter related to birthright citizenship in the United States. In response, India’s Ministry of External Affairs expressed regret and said that his remarks were based on incomplete information.
