What is Prussian Blue ?

Prussian Blue reduces the effects of radioactive cesium-137 and thallium that have entered the body. This capsule combines with these elements in the intestines and removes them from the body through feces. The World Health Organization has included it in the list of essential medicines for radiological and nuclear emergencies.

The agent has also demanded millions of potassium iodide capsules. Potassium iodide is used to protect the thyroid gland in a nuclear emergency, as well as to treat hyperthyroidism.
