Priti – The Crown-jewel among all the virtues in Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil

Shrichit Shakti (Mrs.) Anjali Mukul Gadgil
Sadguru (Dr) Mukul Gadgil
Maharshis recognised the Divine Principle in Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil and have mentioned it in the Nadipattis; hence, the title ‘Shrichitshakti’ is prefixed to Her Name. Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil possesses the Divine virtues of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale; yet, even ordinary people who have very little understanding of Spirituality immediately perceive it, like it and remain deeply connected with Her due to Her Divine virtues. Some of these virtues are – Her warmth, speaking with affection, and creating closeness with others.

In spiritual terminology, these virtues are called Priti (Spiritual love devoid of expectations). Even in worldly life, tasks that cannot be accomplished through education can be easily accomplished by love and, even more so, by Priti. Because of Priti, people closely and strongly bond with one another, like tightly woven threads in a cloth. Although Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil has many virtues, Her most important virtue – the Crown-jewel – is Priti.

1. The characteristic of Priti

In Spirituality, Priti is the supreme virtue. Among the Panchamahabuta (The five Cosmic Principles), Priti is associated with the Apatattva (Absolute Water Principle). Just as the Apatattva accommodates everyone, Priti likewise enables us to accommodate all.

For spiritual progress, the contribution of Priti is the most important. For this virtue to manifest within us, it is essential that we respect others, listen to what they say, respond to them, remember them at the right time and include them within ourselves, and express gratitude for their cooperation. These aspects can manifest within us only when our ego is minimal.

2. The virtue of Priti being innate in Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil

Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali did not develop the virtue of Priti after beginning Her sadhana; rather, She possessed it from childhood itself. Even today, wherever She goes, many people gather around Her; similarly, in childhood as well, whether in school or at a family function, many people would naturally gather around Her, including children and elders. From childhood itself, She is invited to every family function. Everyone desires Her presence.

The main reason is Her nature of drawing close each person, speaking affectionately with all, and looking after everyone’s needs. Therefore, She is dear to all.

3. Men or lady-seekers being able to speak freely with Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil

What was observed in the context of Her family members was also observed when She commenced sadhana, in relation to seekers. Because of Her virtues of drawing close everyone and speaking lovingly with all, seekers can converse with Her with complete ease, whether men or lady-seekers.

While speaking with Her, age becomes irrelevant; children and elders alike converse with Her. To remove mental obstacles in sadhana and to help seekers open their minds, seekers were advised to converse with Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil. Men and lady-seekers have, with complete openness, shared with Her their problems from the past and the bitter incidents they experienced in life. This reduced the stress and guilt from their minds and, by Guru’s grace, She gave them perspectives on their onward journey in sadhana.

4. Establishing easy rapport with Saints or eminent personalities, making them remember Her often

Whenever Saints or eminent personalities from society visited the Ashram at Ramnathi, Goa, She would proficiently perform the satseva of meeting them, learning about their work, giving them information about Sanatan Sanstha’s mission and spiritual research, and learning from them what more could be done.

While doing this, She would serve the guests with the sentiment of ‘ अतिथी देवो भव’ and ensure they were attended to in the best possible manner. As a result, Saints or dignitaries would feel close to Her from the very first meeting and would remember Her in a special manner.

Since 2012, Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil has been travelling across India to preserve Dharma and culture. If the Saints or dignitaries She met earlier in the Ashram, met Her again elsewhere and She invited them to come to the Ashram again, they would say, “We will come only when You are in the Ashram”.

5. Preserving cultural heritage during Her travels across India, and connecting many to Sanatan Sanstha

As naturally as one speaks within a family, Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil in an effortless conversation with a lady in  Dwarahat, Uttarakhand (Year 2017)

India is abundantly endowed with Dharma and culture and holds great Puranic significance. Since 2012, Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali has been travelling across India.

Till now, She has travelled about 7-8 lakh kilometres. The purpose of Her travels is to research and preserve the ancient and invaluable Hindu culture. She has visited numerous pilgrimage centres, Muths, temples, and places famous for Arts, to record Hindu culture and traditions, to familiarise Herself with the Saints and Mahants there, to interview eminent personalities, and to view the invaluable treasures in their possession. Through these recordings and interviews, invaluable heritage is being preserved, and invaluable objects are being acquired for collection.

All this is possible due to Her virtue of Priti. In fact, people generally do not readily share their knowledge or reveal invaluable treasures in their possession; however, because of Her virtues of speaking affectionately, drawing others close, and becoming one with them, Saints, dignitaries, and priests in society give their consent, at times even in the first meeting, to share all information and to allow recording.

Not only this, such individuals remain permanently connected with Sanatan Sanstha, and due to Her sadhana, they also obtain good spiritual experiences about Her. They realise that Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil is someone different, Divine.

Even those on the Path of Knowledge easily feel close to Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali

One may have a serious disposition or may be treading the Jnanyoga (Path of Knowledge). Usually, many people avoid speaking or interacting with such individuals.

When such Saints or dignitaries come to the Ashram, Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil has no difficulty in making them feel comfortable. In fact, answering questions of those following Jnanyoga is very difficult; however, Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali would be able to answer their questions effortlessly because She Herself obtains Divine knowledge due to the Guru’s grace.

Due to Her conversational nature and exceptional memory, She is able to speak on any topic effortlessly. Therefore, even individuals following Jnanyoga easily develop closeness with Her.

Gratitude

This is a brief account of the vast circle of people drawn to Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil because of the virtue of Priti, Her consideration for everyone, and how people who admire Her, offer whatever they have to Her.

There is so much to write about Her that any attempt to describe Her would be inadequate, words would fall short.

I express gratitude at the Holy feet of Shri Guru for enabling me to write this.
