Mumbai – “It is necessary to awaken the feeling of Hindutva among Hindus. We should reach out to everyone in every colony and organise the Hindus with the feeling of brotherhood”, appealed Mr Kiran Shelar (Editor of Daily ‘Mumbai Tarun Bharat’), while speaking as the Chief Guest at the Vijayadashami celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Worli. Mr Balwant Pathak (Mumbai Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti [HJS]) and Mr Naveen Kumar Jain (Worlinagar Sanghachalak of the RSS) were present on the occasion.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, flag hoisting and Dhwajvandana, and was graced by the presence of 85-year-old senior Swayamsevak Mr Dada Gore. The RSS’ Mr Shekhar Sawant (Worlinagar Karyavah), Mr Anil Mandavkar (Sahakaryavaha), Mr Gangadhar Kodam (Bouddhik Pramukh), Mr Ravindra Dasari (Sampark Pramukh), Mr Girish Bhosale (Dharmajagruti Pramukh), Mr Manish Saini (Media head) & other dignitaries too were present.

Mr Kiran Shelar added that various activities of RSS are people-oriented. As of now, Hindu society is divided into castes. Even great men have been discriminated against on the basis of caste. At such a time, swayamsevaks should take the initiative to create a sense of brotherhood among different castes. He also appealed to the people to adopt Swadeshi and make India self-reliant.

The centenary of the RSS is a glorious page of history : Mr Balwant Pathak (Mumbai Coordinator, HJS)

The centenary of the RSS is not just an event but a glorious part of history. It is our fortune to witness this moment. While completing the 100-year tenure, the swayamsevaks had to face countless hardships, struggles, and ban. Still, without wavering, they bravely faced all the crises and hoisted the flag of Hindu Dharma. Even today, Hindus face countless challenges from Maoists, Communists, Secularists, and Islamic fanaticism. They are constantly criticising Hindu Dharma through fake narratives. Let us prepare ourselves to fight these crises.

Exhibition on National heroes by HJS

A photo exhibition had also been set up by HJS. This  exhibition provided information on National heroes and revolutionaries. Mr Kiran Shelar praised the HJS and said, “Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s work of Hindutva is being carried out with gusto throughout Maharashtra”.
