To eliminate distress caused by ancestors during the Pitrupaksha, chant Deity Datta’s Name, pray and perform the Shraddha ritual

1. Chanting of Deity Datta’s Name : At present, many seekers are suffering from distress caused by negative energies. Since this distress increases during Pitrupaksha (8^th to 21^st September 2025), chant ‘Om Om Shri Gurudev Datta Om’ daily for at least 1 hour.This chant is available on : sanatan.org/mr/a/824.html

Seekers who are already performing spiritual remedies to eliminate their personal distress caused by negative energies should, in addition to the chanting prescribed for those remedies, chant Deity Datta’s Name for at least 1 hour daily. While chanting Deity Datta’s Name, bring the tips of the fingers close to the thumb, leaving a slight space between them, and perform nyas (Focussing of energy flow through the medium of the fingers) at the Anahat-chakra and Manipur-chakra.

Seekers who are not performing remedies should ensure that they chant Deity Datta’s Name for at least 1 hour daily while performing personal chores, bathing, or satseva of cleaning. However, if they experience distress that has been caused by ancestors, they too should sit and chant Deity Datta’s Name after making the proper mudra (A body or hand posture used for directing the flow of spiritual energy into the Sushumna-nadi).

2. To obtain protection aginst the distress caused by ancestors during the Pitrupaksha, pray to Deity Datta intermittently throughout the day.

3. If possible, seekers should try to perform the Shraddha ritual during Pitrupaksha.

This will not only eliminate distress caused by ancestors but seekers will also obtain their blessings for spiritual practice.
