New Delhi – Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not fix accountability for the NEET question paper leak in the video message he delivered at midnight on July 23. He also alleged that the Prime Minister made no mention of the students’ protests or the police action taken against them.
Ramesh further said, “No matter how many speeches the Prime Minister delivers, 3 things are necessary to find a solution to the problem: removing Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from office, punishing those who assaulted the students and apologising.”
Ramesh further said that it was only because of the massive public outrage over the past 2 months that the Prime Minister was forced to acknowledge the truth. However, he claimed that this was also the reason why students had lost faith in the Modi Government. The Government has always given priority to its political gains over the interests of students.
