Hindus brutally assaulted by Muslims over a trivial dispute

• Case registered against 5 persons
• Victims beaten with bamboo sticks, kicks and punches

Mumbai – A Muslim family brutally assaulted members of a Hindu family in Sewri following a trivial dispute over an accidental bump while returning from a public toilet. A case has been registered at Sewri Police Station against 5 religiously fanatical Muslims – Wasim, Ibrahim, Kamrunissa, Tajrunissa and Jamunnissa.

1. According to the Hindu woman who filed the complaint, her 16-year-old daughter was returning home from a public toilet when Kamrunissa, who lives opposite their house, bumped into her. When the girl asked her about it, Kamrunissa argued with her and slapped her in the middle of the road.

2. After the girl returned home crying and told her family about the incident, the complainant and her daughter went outside to reprimand Kamrunissa.

3. At this time, Kamrunissa abused the complainant as well. Kamrunissa’s husband, Wasim, got into an argument with the complainant’s nephew, Rohit Singh, beat him severely with a bamboo stick and threatened to kill him.

4. Wasim’s brother Ibrahim and Kamrunissa assaulted Rohit Singh and Kajal Singh with bamboo sticks, kicks and punches. Other female members of the Muslim family, Tajrunissa and Jamunnissa, also assaulted the complainant, her daughter, Rohit and Kajal, and threw stones from the roadside at them. Members of the Hindu family were injured and are undergoing treatment.
