Ramnathi (Goa) – Well-known Marathi film actor Mr Chinmay Udgirkar and actress Mrs Mohini Potdar recently paid a goodwill visit to the Sanatan Ashram at Ramnathi (Goa). Mr Ravi Kasarekar, son of Sanatan’s source of inspiration, Param Pujya Bhaktaraj Maharaj, was also present on the occasion.

Mr Vikram Dongre, Sub-Editor of the ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ media group, briefed them about the work being undertaken by Sanatan for the propagation of the Nation and Dharma. Ms Milky Agrawal, Ms Tejal Patrikar and Mrs Shubhangi Shelke gave them detailed information about the music-related work and spiritual research being undertaken by Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay. The guests showed keen interest in learning about the various activities.

Mr Udgirkar said that society needs direction today, and that the work being undertaken by Sanatan in this regard is extremely valuable. A clear direction and policy must be decided regarding what we want to give society over the next 10 years. Today, very few people are doing good work in the field of writing. Planning in this regard is the need of the hour, he said.

Mrs Potdar had various spiritual experiences while touring the Ashram. She also said that she occasionally experienced a meditative state.

On this occasion, Mr Udgirkar said, “After coming to the Ashram, I realised that I had always been a seeker and worshipper first, and only then became an actor. From now on, I have resolved to work solely for the welfare of Sanatan Dharma.

“Speaking about the Sanatan Ashram, he said, “There are many ashrams in India, but I have never seen one like this. What is important here is that one learns how to accept oneself and how to work on oneself. There is no question of defeat here; one simply has to keep making efforts as part of spiritual practice. The seekers here are working towards their own spiritual progress while also helping others progress. There is no such work anywhere else in India. I am experiencing something that goes beyond words.”

He further said, “Society needs direction today, and the work being undertaken by Sanatan in this regard is extremely valuable. A clear direction and policy must be decided regarding what we want to give society over the next 10 years. Today, very few people are doing good work in the field of writing. Planning in this regard is the need of the hour.”
