Washington (USA) – The United States has imposed sanctions on six Indian entities, saying that Indian entities have engaged in significant transactions in the purchase and sale of Iranian oil and petrochemical products, which is in violation of US sanctions. The action is part of a crackdown on 20 global entities accused of doing business with Iran. The US State Department announced the sanctions. Apart from India, some entities in Turkey, China, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia have also been targeted.
The names of these establishments are Alchemical Solutions Private Limited, Global Industrial Chemicals Limited, Jupiter Dye Chem Private Limited, Ramniklal S. Gosalia & Company, Persistent Petrochem Private Limited and Kanchan Polymers.
The United States claims that Iran uses the proceeds from the sale of its oil and petrochemical products to spread instability in the Middle East and support terrorist organizations.
