Washington (US) – Until now, electric run two-wheelers and four-wheelers were being made; but for the first time in the United States, an electric-powered aircraft has been built. The plane recently flew from East Hampton to New York City.
A 30-minute flight costs only ₹700
Beta Technology Inc.’s Alia CX-300 is an electric-powered aircraft. The aircraft took off with four passengers and covered 130 km in just 30 minutes. Beta Technology has been developing electric aviation technology since 2017. Kyle Clark, the company’s founder and CEO, said it cost only $8 (approximately ₹700) to charge the plane and to fly it over 10 km. It is very cheap despite accounting for the expenditure for the pilot and aircraft. The spending for a helicopter for the same distance is ₹13,000.
