Israel bombed the building of ‘Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’ in Tehran. At the time, a news anchor was delivering a broadcast, and the explosion occurred during the transmission. She narrowly escaped. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the anchor fleeing the studio. The Israeli military issued a statement claiming that the Iranian military was using the broadcaster’s office for military operations. Hence, the building was targeted precisely to minimise civilian casualties.

Indian students evacuated from Tehran

For safety reasons, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has relocated Indian students present in the city to a safer location outside. Indian nationals capable of traveling independently have also been advised to leave Tehran. Some Indian citizens were assisted in crossing the Iran-Armenia border. The Indian Embassy remains in close contact with the Indian community and is offering all possible assistance. As the situation evolves, more advisories may be issued, the embassy stated.
