Türkiye and China must remain sensitive regarding the India-Pakistan conflict

India rebukes Türkiye and China over support to Pakistan

New Delhi – During the military conflict under ‘Operation Sindoor’ from 7 to 10 May, it became evident that Pakistan had used weapons and equipment from China and Türkiye against India. In this context, India has cautioned both nations to be sensitive regarding the India-Pakistan conflict.

1. India has stated, “Pakistan must stop supporting cross-border terrorism and take stern action against the terrorism it has been nurturing for years.” Türkiye, in particular, should pressurise Pakistan with this firm request.

2. India’s National Security Advisor and China’s Foreign Minister held talks on 10 May 2025. In light of this, China is well aware that mutual trust, respect, and sensitivity form the foundation of India-China relations, said the Ministry of External Affairs’ spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, while addressing China.

3. External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar clarified that the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan was reached only after Pakistan made a plea. He further warned, “Operation Sindoor is not yet complete. Should any future terrorist attacks occur, India will once again strike terrorist bases in Pakistan.”

Editorial Perspective

It is equally true that China and Türkiye won’t care for such warnings. Since both understand only the language of weapons, they must be responded to in the same language !
