Pakistan scared of a severe water crisis in Pakistan

New Delhi – India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Now Pakistan has written a letter to lift this suspension. Syed Ali Murtaza, Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, Pakistan, has written a letter to the Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, India, saying, “If India does not lift the suspension on the Indus Water Treaty, then a serious water crisis may arise in many parts of Pakistan. Therefore, India should reconsider this decision.”
If India does not lift suspension on the Indus Water Treaty, there is a possibility of severe water shortage in many parts of Pakistan. The worst affected State of Pakistan is Punjab. Just 3 days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had warned Pakistan that blood and water cannot flow together under any circumstances.
