1. A senior official from the White House said that the aid will remain suspended until Trump is assured that Zelenskyy truly wants peace. ‘Following this decision, we are closely monitoring its consequences and the situation between Russia and Ukraine’, the official added.
2. Zelenskyy has expressed that he seeks security assurances. Previously, he had said that, given the current situation between Russia and Ukraine, it does not seem like the war will end anytime soon.
3. In response, Trump said that Zelenskyy’s statement was incorrect and that he strongly condemns it.
