Case from Sujanpur (Himachal Pradesh)
Sujanpur (Himachal Pradesh) – The Muslim organization that had earlier objected to the installation of a statue of Maharana Pratap in a park being built in front of a mosque has now withdrawn its objection. As a result, the statue will now be installed at the designated location, and members of the organization will also be allowed to be present during the installation, according to Ajmer Thakur, the Executive Officer (CEO) of the municipal council.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had urged the administration not to back down from its decision to install the statue at the planned location. Pankaj Bharatiya, the Deputy Secretary of the state branch of VHP, stated that there was no valid reason to oppose Maharana Pratap’s statue in front of the mosque. He further alleged that a group of Muslim leaders from outside the state was attempting to create anti-Hindu sentiments.
