Ottawa (Canada) – Member of the House of Commons in Canada and leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) Jagmeet Singh has demanded a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Canada. Singh is known as an MP close to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Singh issued a statement regarding the expulsion of Indian diplomats. Jagmeet Singh said that the Sikh community in Canada is facing fear, intimidation, harassment and violence from the Indian authorities. A ransom is being demanded from the Sikhs.

1. He supported the expulsion of diplomats from the Indian embassy in Canada. Along with that, he also demanded to ban the RSS in Canada. He also said that if someone is engaged in anti-Canada activities on Canadian soil, the Canadian Government must take strict action.
2. Singh also said that the Canadian Government has strong evidence that the Indian embassy’s officials were behind the murder of Khalistani Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
3. Justin Trudeau’s party achieved power with the help of the NDP. Singh had withdrawn support to the Canadian Government; however, Trudeau and Singh are reportedly on good terms. Trudeau may require NDP’s support to regain power in the next year’s election, due to which, Singh’s Khalistani activities are being supported by Trudeau.
