1. The report quoted 3 Indian officials as saying that Russia has raised the issue at least twice. In July, during a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Dr S Jaishankar, the issue was raised. The Defense Ministries of Russia and India did not respond to queries regarding this. In January, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said that India has not sold artillery to Ukraine.
2. The report further said that very few Indian weapons have been used in this war. This ammunition accounts for less than 1% of all the ammunition imported by Ukraine. It was not clear whether the European countries donated it to Ukraine or sold it.
3. The European countries that send Indian military equipment to Ukraine include Italy and the Czech Republic. ‘Yantra India’ company’s weapons are also being used in Russia-Ukraine war.
