On the early morning of 24thMay, there was a landslide in Kaokalam village, in Enga Province, crushing more than 150 houses. 670 people were trapped under the soil. All of them are feared dead.

The rescue personnel are braving perilous conditions in their search operation. So far only 6 to 7 dead bodies have been recovered. The number of the dead might increase.
