The Court said in the order that the Delhi Art Gallery has submitted a list of paintings to the investigating officers, in which the controversial paintings are listed at serial numbers 6 and 10.
The Supreme Court has also remarked in five cases related to the right of Muslim women to seek maintenance that the Government should consider a uniform civil code.
The Court clarified that as this is not a ‘rarest of the rare cases’, the death penalty cannot be given. The Court also ordered compensation worth Rs 17 lakh to the family of the victim’s female doctor.
