Duration of yatra – 29 th June to 19 th August

Srinagar (Jammu-Kashmir) – This year the Amarnath yatra will start from 29 th June and will continue till 19 th August. The registration for the same has started from 15th April. Registration can be done both online and offline. Online registration can be done by visiting the official website of the Shrine Board.At the same time, offline registration can be done from Punjab National Bank, SBI, Yes Bank and Jammu and Kashmir Bank. According to government rules, Indian citizens between the ages of 13 and 70 years can do the Yatra. The process of obtaining the medical certificate required for travel is underway.
Last year four and a half lakh devotees had come to yatra, whereas this year around six lakhs devotees are expected to visit. Meals, halts and health checks will be arranged along the route. Preparations of 2 camp hospitals equipped with oxygen booth, ICU bed, X-ray, sonography machine and liquid oxygen plant are in progress.
