Canada accuses India of interfering in Canadian elections

Canada’s Government commission to investigate the matter

Ottawa (Canada) – Canada is yet to provide any evidence regarding its baseless accusation against India that ‘India was involved in Khalistani terrorist Nijjar Singh’s murder’. Now, its ‘Foreign Interference Commission’ has made serious accusations against India. It accused that India tried to influence the elections in Canada. The commission will also investigate this matter.

Earlier, Canada had accused China of influencing its elections in 2019 and 2021. The commission will investigate this matter against India and present an interim report by 3rd May 2024. Final report will be submitted by 31st December 2024. The commission is also investigating the alleged involvement of Russia and Iran.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Firstly, even if India had interfered, Canada would never have been able to understand it. Nevertheless, Canada’s futile attempts to accuse and malign India are indicative of its Anti-India narrative and underlying hatred.
  • One can however deduce that, the fragile, incompetent and weak security system of Canada, is incapable of shielding its internal affairs.
