Ms Vivian Silver –  The (Jew) female human rights activist was kidnapped and killed by Hamas terrorists

The name of the female human rights activist Ms Vivian Silver is well-known in the human rights circles worldwide. Ms Silver (Age 74) was a Jew by birth; but she spent 50 years of her life advocating human rights of Palestinians, as well as blaming the Israel Government and military.

She admitted Palestinians who had cancer to Israeli hospitals for treatment. Additionally, she also took out peace marches blaming Israel in the streets of Israel. She received many Awards all over the world. She was also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. After doing all this for the Palestinian cause, what did she get ? She has been missing since the 7^th October attack by the Hamas terrorists. Her whereabouts are not known.

On social media, it is being said that she was hacked to pieces by the Hamas terrorists. That Ms Silver had to face such an end is painful and difficult to digest. There is no way to know what the Hamas terrorists, who are fighting for the Palestinians, did to Ms Silver. Ms Silver had dedicated her life to the Palestinian cause, faced so many troubles on the way and even went against her own religious brethren – the Jews – for the sake of the Palestinians.

Against this backdrop, it is necessary to have a vigorous discussion on the topic of ‘human rights’ on a global platform. Who doesn’t want peace and harmony ? However, it is necessary to ask all the human rights activists around the world – Is upholding the human rights of terrorists and their supporters going to bring peace to the world ?

Ms Silver dedicated her life to restoring the human rights of the Palestinians; hence, she was subjected to such torture – this is an ideological defeat for all human rights activists.

Ms Silver’s life had no value

Ms Silver was long-time member of Kibbutz Be’eri, only a few kilometers from the border with the Gaza Strip in southern Israel. From there, she fought for the human rights of the Palestinians.

Therefore, when the Hamas terrorists kidnapped and apparently took her into the Gaza Strip, didn’t they have information on who are their own people and who are foreigners ? Why did the Hamas terrorists not have the sense to spare the woman who fought for their human rights ?

The reason is obvious. Ms Silver regarded the Palestinians as her own people; but the Hamas terrorists, who originated from the Palestine soil, did not consider her as their own. To them, Ms Silver was just a Jew. So, no matter how much Ms Silver pampered the Palestinians, according to Hamas she was the citizen of an enemy State; and it was the birth right of Hamas to torture and inflict pain on her. This is the reason that Hamas terrorists killed her.

When Israel started the war, the Israelis were branded cannibals, barbarians, etc. Israel is accused of invading Gaza and killing innocent people. Those who are vocal about the human rights of Palestinians are mute about the human rights of Israelis. Beyond being vocal for the Palestinians, the human rights activists do not seem to be making any concerted effort to find out about Ms Silver’s release or her whereabouts or what happened to her after she went missing. This raises the question – Does Ms Silver’s life have no value for the human rights activists ? This also shows their ideological vulnerability.

Failure of the human rights movement

Are the human rights activists going to hold candle-light vigils or peace marches against Hamas for Ms Silver’s human rights ? Or will they protest in front of the house of the Chief of this terrorist organisation ? This has not yet taken place nor is there a ray of hope that it will happen in the future.

Through this incident, the true nature of Palestinians was also revealed to the world. How many Palestinians have questioned the Hamas terrorists about the safety of Ms Silver or what has happened to her ? In contrast, the heinous acts of Hamas terrorists after invading Israel, such as raping Israeli women, slitting the throats of children were celebrated in Palestine. Therefore, talking or acting about the human rights of such a society is nothing short of treason against the entire human race. Simply said, Palestine made full use of Ms Silver to promote their image, paint themselves as victims to the world, and once their purpose was fulfilled, left her to die at the hands of Hamas terrorists.

For those who have the bogey of human rights on their backs, Ms Silver’s case is definitely an eye-opener. Compassion for terrorists, Jihadis, fanatics is an anti-social attitude. Its end is tragic.

Jihadis do not understand the language of love, affection or human rights. They understand but one language – of hatred and violence. Therefore, those who fight for the human rights of terrorists are even more dangerous than the terrorists themselves. If this crop flourishes, people will sympathise with these terrorists who slaughter humanity. A civilised, tolerant and peaceful society of the world will be destroyed due to a fraternity which takes to Gandhigiri. To prevent this from becoming a reality, it is necessary to ideologically defeat the human rights activists and show them a mirror of their true nature.
