Nagpur, Maharashtra – Dy Director (Education) Ulhas Narad of Nagpur division was arrested at Gadchiroli on 11.04.2025 who is alleged to have appointed a person, without any teaching experience, based on forged documents.

The Police have taken into custody headmaster Parag Pudake from Jewanala in Lakhani Taluka in Bhandara district in this context. Pudake was appointed by Narad though he has no teaching experience. Moreover, Pudake was directly appointed as the headmaster on the basis of fake papers.

Salary and Provident Fund Superintendent (Education) Nagpur Division  has been suspended

Fake primary teachers and non-teaching staff have been recruited from 2019 and presently, there are about 580 such employees in the district who are paid salaries worth millions of rupees, cheating the Government. This scam was exposed during checking of the drawbacks on the school portal. In the same case, Nagpur education department’s superintendent (Salaries and Provident Fund) Nilesh Waghmare has also been suspended. A committee set up under dy. secretary (Education) conducted an inquiry and submitted its report leading to this action. A few more senior officers have been involved in the scam and action will soon be taken even against them. (Such persons should not be suspended but sacked – Editor)

How the schools must be operated if there is no transparency in appointment of school’s headmaster ? The Government needs to imprison these people who are playing with children’s future.
