Religious fanatic Muslims attack Police during protest against Waqf Amendment Act in Tripura

Unakoti (Tripura) – On 12th April, fanatic Muslims attacked the Police while they were protesting against the Waqf Amendment Act on the Kailash Highway here. A Police Constable and an Officer were injured in this. The Police have arrested 7 Muslims who were involved in the violence. The protesting Muslims wanted to take out a march from Tilbazar to the old office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, but were attacked when the Police stopped them. At this time, the Police lathi-charged them. This protest was led by Congress leader Badruj Zaman.
