Incident in Shimla (HP)
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) – The Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has stated that Nisar Ahmed, who sells chickpeas and namkeen on Kalibari Road, is spitting on the items while selling them. The Samiti workers have seen him doing this. Also, Ahmed does not have a hawker’s license. They have demanded that action be taken against him. When the Samiti workers asked Ahmed to show his license, he could not show it. The incident was being broadcast live on Facebook by the committee. After this, Shimla Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal said that everything is a matter of concern. If the allegations are found to be true, strict action will be taken.

Vijay Sharma, co-convenor of Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti, said that the work of settling Muslims in Shimla has been going on for a long time. Muslims here do not allow Hindus to work here. A year ago, there was talk of bringing a policy regarding hawkers; but so far no step has been taken in this regard. He demanded that action be taken in this entire matter as soon as possible, otherwise a big agitation will be launched.
