Permission granted to celebrate Ganeshotsav on Eidgah ground in Hubballi (Karnataka)

Congress and AIMIM oppose

Hubballi (Karnataka) – Hubballi–Dharwad Municipality has permitted to celebrate Ganeshotsav on
Eidgah ground here. The Congress had opposed it previously. In 1994, when the Congress was in
power, patriots had tried to unfurl the National Flag on this ground. The Police opened fire killing 5
patriots. Presently, Bharatiya Janata Party is in power in the Municipality. The Congress and AIMIM
have opposed the granting of the permission for the Ganeshotsav on the Eidgah ground.
