Kargil (Ladakh) – Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, expressed his perspective after his visit to Ladakh, stating that China has taken control of a significant amount of Indian territory spanning thousands of kilometres.

Reflecting on historical events, it is important to recall the 1962 conflict when China captured around 38,000 square kilometres of Indian land. During that time, India’s then-Prime Minister and Rahul Gandhi’s grandfather, Nehru, lamented in Parliament that China had encroached upon land where even vegetation could not thrive. This situation emerged because of Nehru’s conciliatory approach of “Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai,” which ultimately proved counterproductive.
