The laws against cow-slaughter and conversion should not be abolished

Passing of the proposal by 14 Saints and Mahants gathered at the Sant-samelan held in Bangalore

Bangalore (Karnataka) – The Previous BJP Government had made laws against cow-slaughter and conversion in Karnataka. The present Congress Government should not repeal them or even lessen the strictness demanded the resolution passed by the Sant Samelan held in Bangalore. 14 Saints and Mahants had participated in this Sant Samelan organised by the Viswa Hindu Parishad.

The resolution was passed after discussions on various subjects such as Cow-slaughter, Hindu means an undivided family, and environment at the seminar held at the city’s Malleshwaram Yadugiri Yatiraj Muth. The signatories of the resolution include the 14 Mahants, and Yadugiri Yatiraj Muth’s Yadugiri Yatiraja Narayan Ramanujam Jiyar Swamiji, Ramkrishna Mission’s Chandreshanandji, Mahalingeshwar Muth’s Ravishankar Shivacharya Swamiji.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had declared on taking office he would repeal the law against conversion, but presently they are not thinking of repealing the anti-cow slaughter law.  (The ungrateful Anti-Hindu Congress Government which has come to power due to Hindus’ votes – Editor)

Editorial Viewpoint

This is shameful for the ill-fated Hindus that the Hindu Saints have had to make this resolution because the the Hindus handed over the State Government to the Congress party.
