Rahul Gandhi’s naive statement

Washington (US) – While answering a journalist’s question about uniting with the Muslim League in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi remarked, “Muslim League is a completely secular party, there is nothing non-secular about the Muslim League. I think the person (who sent the question) has not studied the Muslim League.”
“The opposition is pretty well united, and it’s getting more & more united. We are having conversations with all the Opposition (parties). I think quite a lot of good work is happening there. It’s a complicated discussion because there are spaces where we are competing with the Opposition. So a bit of give and take is required. But I am confident that it (a grand Opposition alliance against the BJP at the Centre) will happen,” Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi is on a 6-day US tour. Rahul Gandhi said further that he believed that all Indians should have religious freedom; Indian communities should have freedom of expression. He did not discriminate between people based on religion and caste. He was raised on Gandhian philosophy based on what was India and how it should be. He was not scared of the life threats as one had to die someday. He had learnt that from his grandmother and father. He did not stop due to the threats.
