New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue of attacks on Hindu temples in Australia during a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who is visiting India.

1. Speaking at a press conference after this discussion, Prime Minister Modi said, ”the news of attacks on temples in Australia is regularly coming. Naturally, the people of India are concerned after reading these reports, and we are worried about it. These feelings and concerns were conveyed to Prime Minister Albanese. He has assured me that the safety of the Indian community is his priority. Both the nations will be in regular touch on this matter and will provide all possible cooperation.”

2. Prime Minister Modi further said, “We discussed enhancing maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region. We are also working on a comprehensive economic agreement. We have signed contracts in the defence sector in the last few years.”
