The US Billionaire hysterically interfering in India’s internal matter
Berlin – American Billionaire George Soros has criticised Narendra Modi about the Adani matter. George Soros further accused the Indian Prime Minister of being complicit in the supposed ‘misdealings’ of the Adani Group. “Modi is silent on the subject, but he will have to answer questions from foreign investors and in parliament,” Soros said. “This will significantly weaken Modi’s stranglehold on India’s federal Government and open the door to push for much-needed institutional reforms. I may be naive, but I expect a democratic revival in India”, said Soros.

On 24th of January ‘Hindenberg Research Organisation’ published its report. The Adani group was accused of stock manipulation by increasing the share price through economic malpractices. This caused a crash in the price of the Adani group’s shares. And he was demoted from his 2nd place in the list of the world’s richest people. The opposition attributed the progress of the Adani group in the past couple of years to Prime Minister Modi.
BJP’s criticism of Soros
His comments invited anger from BJP leaders including Smriti Irani who said that the billionaire “makes such pronouncements to demolish Indian democracy so that his handpicked people run the Government in the country.” She also alleged that Soros created a fund of over USD one billion to intervene in democratic systems of other countries, including in India.
Editorial Viewpoints
The cordial relationship between the US political parties and businessmen and the resultant profit is not new ! Soros should talk about this and change the situation in the US rather than comment on the cordial relations between Indian politicians and businessmen ! |
