Abu Azmi Calls Allegations of ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Land Jihad’ Foolishness

Abu Azmi's usual Anti-Hindu rant

Mumbai – ‘Jihad’ is a very revered word and a struggle is called ‘Jihad’. ‘Love jihad’, ‘land jihad’, and such terms are nonsense. ‘Land Jihad’ is an invented word. Marriages between Hindu-Muslims have been happening since ages and there is only love in them. No Muslim organisation in India tells to get Hindu girls through cheating. In fact, Hindu organisations are only funding such things, was the ridiculous and reality denying statement made by Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi. He instead deliberately accused Hindu organisations of luring Muslim girls into marriage.

He further added that the Constitution guarantees that after the age of 18, a person is free to make independent decisions, adopt any religion and marry whomever he or she chooses; but now there is deliberate targeting. (Supporting jihadi activities that endanger Hindu girls and land for their own selfish interests, under the guise of constitutional rights has long been a tactic of leaders like Abu Azmi. – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

  • ‘Love Jihad’ have been exposed through films like The Kerala Story’ and various observations made by Courts. Even so, Abu Azmi's attempt to shield the anti-Hindu attitude of elements within his community itself reflects his foolishness.
  • Will Abu Azmi take note that considering this growing threat, many States have already enacted anti-conversion laws?
