ATS gives names of thirty thousand infiltrators to the Government! - Mr Pritam Nachankar, special correspondent, Sanatan Prabhat.

Mumbai, 6 June – On one hand the Maharashtra Government has been trying to make Mumbai a financial and technical hub but in reality, Mumbai has become a hub of Bangladeshi infiltrators. Maharashtra anti-terrorist squad (ATS) has recently handed over a list of more than 30,000 Bangladeshi infiltrators to the Maharashtra Government. The list shows that Bangladeshi infiltrators have established hideouts at more than 1,500 locations across Mumbai, while about 16-17 thousand infiltrators have been found only in Mumbai. It is a matter of serious concern that there is no area in Mumbai where Bangladeshi infiltrators are not found. Overall, this entire matter makes a public mockery of the efficiency of the police, administration, and government. Considering the overall situation, the actual number of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Mumbai and its suburbs could be many times higher.
Undoubtedly, the stern stand taken by the ‘Mahayuti’ Government in Maharashtra in the past 2-3 years and the mission undertaken by the investigating agencies have at least helped to nab these Bangladeshi infiltrators. In 2025, the ATS had handed over a list of 1237 illegal Bangladeshi citizens and now, the second list has been handed over. All the infiltrators were arrested and cases have been filed against them. The ATS sent the list to the Government to verify whether any of these infiltrators are availing benefits under Government schemes. The process of deporting all the infiltrators to Bangladesh has been started.
Infiltrators’ hideouts in unauthorised slums
Bangladeshi infiltrators’ hideouts have been found in all the unauthorised slums in areas of Mumbai such as Kamathipura, Kurla, Dockyard, Mazgaon, Malvani, Andheri, Nagpada, Masjid Bunder, Sewree, Mankhurd, Jogeshwari, Govandi, Grant Road, Antop Hill, etc.
The neighboring districts are also infested by infiltrators

Bangladeshi infiltrators have created their hideouts even in Navi Mumbai, Thane and Palghar, besides Mumbai. Some Bangladeshis have been found in the within railway jurisdiction areas and the Railway Police have been taking action against them.
Of greater concern is the fact that most of these infiltrators are less than fifty years of age. The investigations have revealed that the infiltrators have entered sectors like garbage collection flower-fruit vendors, fast-food stalls, hair cutting salons, hawkers, etc. The Government has, therefore, started rapid action drive against the hawkers and the slums in Mumbai.
Congress and Muslim leaders helped settle the infiltrators!
A matter of grave concern is the fact that these Bangladeshi infiltrators not only possess Aadhaar Cards, Pan Cards, Ration Cards, Driving Licences, etc., but also have birth certificates. All these documents were allegedly obtained using forged or false documents. No action was taken against the infiltrators for many years during the Congress regime. On the contrary, local Muslims leaders helped settle them in Mumbai and nearby areas. Presently, some few Muslim leaders are opposing the drive against the infiltrators located in the unauthorised slums instead of supporting it. |
