Paris (France) – Following the victory of Paris Saint-Germain (P.S.G.) over Arsenal in the final of the Champions League football tournament, large-scale violence erupted across France during the night of 30 May. In response, the Bureau of Human Rights and Justice issued an urgent statement, in which, it strongly condemned the violence and demanded a fundamental change in the country’s public-order policy, including the adoption of a ‘Zero Tolerance’ approach. According to information received by Sanatan Prabhat from reliable sources, many of the rioters were refugee Muslims from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, and other African countries.

This was a premeditated attack: Bureau of Human Rights and Justice

The Bureau of Human Rights and Justice firmly rejected claims that the violence was merely a spontaneous and natural reaction by football fans. Speaking to a Sanatan Prabhat correspondent, the Bureau’s president, Deepan Mitra, said that the entire episode was a premeditated attack. “We witnessed similar sort of violence during last year’s celebrations. This has now become a long-term crisis that poses a serious threat to the long-term security of the French Republic. If the administration fails to take firm control of the situation now, France will have to pay a very heavy price in the future,” he said. Mr Mitra also strongly urged the implementation of strict preventive measures. He further stated that while enforcing public-security policies, the government should adopt a policy of ‘Zero Tolerance.’
