
Doda (J&K) – One of the houses in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda that had developed Joshimath-like cracks has collapsed. Among the 50 houses in a village here, 20 houses and a mosque have developed cracks. Doda administration officials and a team from the Geological Survey of India are monitoring the situation at the spot. SDM Athar Amin Zargar said, “21 structures were affected yesterday. Zone of influence is limited to the same, as observed today morning.”

As per the locals, the cracks might be the result of too much road works in that area and water penetration for the last few years. Cracks found on the houses in Joshimath in Uttarakhand are due to landslides and people have been shifted from that area.
