Pathetic plight of Sikhs in Afghanistan

Kabul (Afghanistan) – We have no future in Afghanistan. All our expectations are gone. We are living under the scourge of fear here. A few days ago, a Gurudwara in Kabul was attacked by Islamic State militants. Some Sikhs were injured. That is why Sikhs living in Afghanistan have expressed the feeling that we do not want to stay here anymore.

Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan last year, many Sikh families started living in and around this Gurudwara. Now that this Gurudwara has been targeted, an atmosphere of fear prevails among them. At present, there are only 20 Sikh families in the whole of Afghanistan, which is about 150 Sikhs.
