Pandharpur (Maharashtra) – President of National Warkari Council H.B.P. Maruthi Maharaj Tuntune Shastri has raised questions through a leaflet. He said that Maharashtra may be the land of saints, but anti-Hindu statements and acts are discussed in the State Assembly. Nationalist Congress ministers Nawab Malik and Chhagan Bhujbal demand a ban on Sanatan Sanstha; but this cabinet does not discuss issues like cow slaughter, killing of Sadhus, bashing up of pro-Hindu organisation Shivpratishthan Hindusthan’s activists, priority to liquor over temples, glorification of Urdu language, love jihad, riots, anti-brahmin activities, etc. in Maharashtra. So when will the discussion of Hindu interest take place in the State Assembly ? Our Ministers do not discuss any such matters that concern Hindu interest. Awareness regarding these issues was spread through the pamphlets distributed by the President of the National Warkari Council, H.B.P. Maruthi Maharaj Tuntune Shastri.
This pamphlet further stated that
1. The last Assembly session was held in Pitru Paksha. Late Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray devoted his entire life to Hindu interest, so it was expected that the session during the Pitru Paksha would be of Hindu interest, but it was in vain.
2. Respected Uddhav Thackerayji, when you took oath as the CM, we the Warkaris had high expectations from you.
3. When the discussion was going on whether to convert the Anti-Superstition eradication Bill into an Act or not, a delegation of Warkaris had come to meet you at Matoshree, we had seen your calm and humble nature. On the other hand, now atheist and anti-Hindu Ministers are giving anti-Hindu statements under your tacit support. This side of your image is shattering the ideals of Late Balasahebji and you are to be blamed for it. The thoughts of Late Balasahebji are a reckoning force for you as well as for all Hindus. Therefore, Warkaris expect that you promote ideas in Hindu interest in the Cabinet. Praying to Panduranga for that.
