- Insult of Hindu Deities under the guise of freedom of expression cannot be tolerated! – Allahabad High Court
- The Central Government also enact laws to take action against those supporting efforts to insult Hindu Deities under the pretext of freedom of expression!
Prayagraj (U.P.) – ‘Insult of Hindu Deities under the name of freedom of expression cannot be tolerated. The objective of those who formed the Constitution was that all religions should be respected. The manner in which religious sentiments are ignored completely and a single religion is targeted in depicting scenes related to Hindu Deities is extremely inappropriate.’ The above statements were made by the Allahabad High Court while reprimanding Aparna Purohit, Content Head of ‘Amzaon Prime’. The Court has rejected her anticipatory bail application. Hence, there is a possibility that she may be arrested. ‘Tandav’ web series is available on the Amazon Prime OTT platform.
